Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Information Summary |
NOTE: It is recommended that you contact the clerk’s office at #978-688-9501 to ensure that you understand and follow these procedures correctly. If you are not a registered voter in North Andover, the last day that you can register at the clerk’s office and be eligible to vote in the March 25th Election is Wednesday, March 5th. ABSENTEE BALLOT INFORMATION: - If you, or someone in your household, will be out of town on March 25th or can’t make it to the polls at the High School between 7am and 8pm, please vote by absentee ballot.
- To obtain an absentee ballot application, either go to the town clerk’s office and request an application form, or fax a request to # 978-688-9557. If you request the application form by fax, be sure to do it in plenty of time before the election and be sure to state your name, address, reason why you can’t vote in person, and sign and date the faxed request. Applications can also be downloaded from the Secretary of State’s office at www.sec.state.ma.us/ele.
- You can make your application request for an absentee ballot now, and the town clerk will mail the ballot to you once the ballots are available. The actual ballots will be ordered after February 21st (last date that certified candidates can withdraw their name from the ballot). Ballots become available within about two weeks after ordering.
- If you go in person to request an absentee ballot, you can make the request and complete the ballot right then and there (if the actual ballots have arrived at the clerk’s office) and turn it in. The latest you can go in person and request an absentee ballot is before noon on Monday, March 24th.

What Are The Key Issues For This Election? |
In our election this year we are choosing two new members of the Board of Selectmen and the School Committee. What are the key issues that should be discussed when deciding on a candidate? We're asking for your questions (click on this link) so we can consolidate them and provide each candidate the opportunity to respond to questions from the community. We will set up a summary and comparison between candidates for these questions submitted by you. |

Would You Accept A Condensed Town Warrant To Save Money? |
North Andover spends nearly the equivalent of a municipal or school employee's salary on the printing and distribution of the Annual Town Meeting Warrant Booklet each year. The associated trash disposal/recycling of all those booklets adds to the cost as well. Would you support receiving a condensed booklet, with each article summarized by the Finance Committee, to reduce this cost? Every voter would still have access to a full copy, either by requesting a full mailed copy, by reading a full copy posted on the town website, or by picking up full copies at either Town Hall or the Library. Please repond to the poll on our home page. |
