North Andover Youth Center Initiatives 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Hi everyone,

Many people know me and my involvement with NAU, the school system web sites, various local sports teams and the Youth Center. One of my best loves in this town is my involvement on the Board of Directors for the Joseph N. Hermann Youth Center.

I have three requests for people to consider.

One is that we are trying to use technology to better-inform people of activities and events at the Youth Center. This is particularly of interest to residents with students from 6th - 12th grade... but the Youth Center supports other age groups including 4th and 5th graders on Saturdays, "Summer Fun" programs as well as many, many other activities throughout the year. We have set up an electronic newsletter and I am trying to encourage people to sign up to receive occassional information. You can sign up by clicking on this link. You may automatically unsubscribe at any time if you wish.

The second request is to let you know about an opportunity to help the Youth Center without costing you anything. If you are shopping on line for any reason (and all year long) you can visit www.nayouth.com or www.northandoverkids.com and click on any of the affiliate shopping banners. I set this up myself and the results are that between 2% - 15% of any purchases for these 120+ stores go directly to the Youth Center. The cost to you is zero... commissions are earned by the Youth Center for referring you to stores but otherwise the experience (and cost) to you is the same as going directly to the various web sites. Sites include Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, Walmart.com and many others. Many stores allow you to shop on line and pick up locally. There is still time to shop for this Christmas and many stores are offering great deals.

The final request is to please visit the Youth Center site and read about the annual Capital Campaign. Tis the season to receive many solicitations for support... but I would encourage you to consider how the Youth Center contributes to our community. Any support is very appreciated and can be accomplished on line via a credit card for your convenience. Any contributions to the Joseph N. Hermann Youth Center are tax deductible.

Thank you for your consideration,
