Reuters published a story yesterday on how the failure to renew tax credits will hit the Middle Class hard. What's interesting about this story is not just the content, but the fact that they quickly pulled the story. They put up a statement that it would be re-published after checking the accuracy of the content.

Gee...I thought news organizations used to check their facts first, publish second...


It's worth watching out for the retraction and perusing any changes if a revised article is published. But it's also worth noting that if the original report turns out to be true, "middle class" will be widened and redefined to include incomes as low as in the $30k to $40k range...this is going to hurt a lot of households...
