Now you can do your everyday shopping and donate money to Kittredge school at the same time - without spending an extra penny!!!
We are pleased to share some exciting news about a new fundraising program. Participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to Kittredge at a discount to their face value. Kittredge families then buy the gift cards for their face amount and Kittredge keeps the difference. It's that easy!! You buy a $25 gift card, you use it as a gift or do do your regular shopping to buy $25 worth of goods at participating retailers and Kittredge keeps a portion of your purchase price.
This program will be offered throughout the school year. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of it for everyday purchases.
The forms will be collected on the second Monday of each month and the cards will be avaialble the following week. A list of participating retailers is attached. Just print the form and send it via your childs backpack attn: PTO/Scrip.
Due to an overwhelming interest in purchasing Scrip retail cards prior to the original December 12th deadline, a preliminary purchasing opportunity will take place and an order will be completed on December 1. This order will have the cards available for Dec. 5. If you are interested in purchasing Kittredge scrip cards during this first session, please contact Amy Mastromonaco at amastromonaco@morgillfinancial.com or (978) 689-0001or send your form and check made payable to the Kittredge PTO via backpack mail by Wednesday, November 26th to Elizabeth Mastromonaco, Room 1B. You should also send Amy an email so she will expect your form to be turned in.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Amy Mastromonaco.
Thanks, as always, for you continued support.
What Is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase scrip, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization.
How do I pay for the Scrip cards I want?
Cash or check made payable to the Kittredge PTO.
When will my cards be delivered?
Within five business days of the order deadline.
How can I pick up my order?
Someone will be at the school in the morning on the two days following the delivery of our cards from 8:15 until 9:15 a.m. Someone will also be available from 2:30 until 3:15 (that can be me) on those days. If neither of these times are convenient you may contact Amy Mastromonaco at (978)
689-0001 or amastromonaco@morgillofinancial.com to set something up with her.
How does scrip generate money for the PTO?
The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non profit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. The PTO buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value. The discount from two to fifteen percent or more - is our organization's revenue.
Where do the scrip certificates come from?
GLSC (Great Lakes Scrip Company) purchases the certificates directly from the retailers. The certificates we provide to our coordinators are the same gift certificates you would buy if you went to the participating retailer and purchased them yourself
Can I use the scrip certificates anywhere?
Yes, the certificates are accepted at all participating retailer locations.
