Scrip Gift Cards PDF Print E-mail

Now you can do your everyday shopping and donate money to Kittredge school at the same time - without spending an extra penny!!!

We are pleased to share some exciting news about a new fundraising program.  Participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to Kittredge at a discount to their face value.  Kittredge families then buy the gift cards for their face amount and Kittredge keeps the difference.  It's that easy!!  You buy a $25 gift card,  you use it as a gift or do do your regular shopping to buy $25 worth of goods at participating retailers and Kittredge keeps a portion of your purchase price.

This program will be offered throughout the school year.  Parents are encouraged to take advantage of it for everyday purchases.

The forms will be collected on the second Monday of each month and the cards will be avaialble the following week.  A list of participating retailers is attached.  Just print the form and send it via your childs backpack attn: PTO/Scrip.

Due to an overwhelming interest in purchasing Scrip retail cards prior to the original December 12th deadline, a preliminary purchasing opportunity will take place and an order will be completed on December 1. This order will have the cards available for Dec. 5. If you are interested in purchasing Kittredge scrip cards during this first session, please contact Amy Mastromonaco at amastromonaco@morgillfinancial.com or (978) 689-0001or send your form and check made payable to the Kittredge PTO via backpack mail by Wednesday, November 26th to Elizabeth Mastromonaco, Room 1B. You should also send Amy an email so she will expect your form to be turned in.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Amy Mastromonaco.

Thanks, as always, for you continued support.

What Is Scrip?

Scrip is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase scrip, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization.

How do I pay for the Scrip cards I want?

Cash or check made payable to the Kittredge PTO.

When will my cards be delivered?

Within five business days of the order deadline.

How can I pick up my order?

Someone will be at the school in the morning on the two days following the delivery of our cards from 8:15 until 9:15 a.m. Someone will also be available from 2:30 until 3:15 (that can be me) on those days. If neither of these times are convenient you may contact Amy Mastromonaco at (978)

689-0001 or amastromonaco@morgillofinancial.com to set something up with her.

How does scrip generate money for the PTO?

The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non profit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. The PTO buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value. The discount from two to fifteen percent or more - is our organization's revenue.

Where do the scrip certificates come from?

GLSC (Great Lakes Scrip Company) purchases the certificates directly from the retailers. The certificates we provide to our coordinators are the same gift certificates you would buy if you went to the participating retailer and purchased them yourself

Can I use the scrip certificates anywhere?

Yes, the certificates are accepted at all participating retailer locations.

What is The Great Lakes Scrip Center (GLSC)?

Great Lakes Scrip Center serves non-profit organizations and major US retailers through innovating scrip fundraising programs.

GLSC was founded in 1994 by two families; corporate offices are located in Western Michigan. Since 1994, GLSC has helped retailers ring up nearly $4 billion dollars in sales while raising more than $220 million for our non-profit clients. GLSC serves more than 14,000 client non-profit organizations across the US. GLSC offers retailers access to more than 3.75 million motivated, scrip-buying households.

GLSC has long standing relationships with more than 600 retail brands including American Airlines, Bath & Body Works, Blockbuster Video, Burger King, The Gap, Home Depot, JCPenney, Marriott, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and Sears to name just a few.

GLSC has posted 13 straight years of profits.

In June 2002, Carol Burgess and Carol Smith, the founders of Great Lakes Scrip Center, were named West Michigan Entrepreneurs of the Year by Ernst & Young.

Antons Coats for Kids PDF Print E-mail
Coats for Kids is a wonderful opportunity for students and their families to get involved in a worthwhile community activity that will help thousands of people stay warm this winter.  The Anton's Cleaners Coats for Kids mission is to ensure that anyone who needs a winter coat will have one.

Help us collect as many coats as possible.  Think outside the house and ask neighbors, aunts, coaches or anyone you know to donate a gently used winter coat.  Anton's has committed to cleaning all the coats and through their partners, distributing them to people in need.

A collection bin has been placed in the main entrance to Kittredge.  Let's try to collect one coat for every student enrolled at Kittredge or 285 coats!!  Anton's will reward the top 3 schools that collect the most coats per enrolled student.

Collection runs until December 31st.  Contact Amy Dion (amorandion@gmail.com) with any questions.

Sunshine Math PDF Print E-mail

Welcome to the Sunshine Math Program, as designed by The Panhandle Area Educational Consortium, or PAEC.

The first thing you will want to do is read the introduction to the program in the  Parents Welcome letter. CLICK HERE for the Parents Letter for this program.   For this first year what we're going to do is distribute the Sunshine Math worksheets and answer keys online.  Each week, a new set of questions will be posted, along with the prior week's answers.  For example, for week 3 the questions for week 3 will be included along with the answers to week 2.    This will continue through the year ending sometime in May or June.   Lastly,  the links will be posted on a sliding three week schedule.  So if you missed last week's questions or answers, don't worry they won't disappear right away, but they won't be hanging around forever.

One more thing, the publishing schedule begins MONDAYS, so check back each MONDAY for your next set of worksheets.
We are looking to begin on November 3rd.

Sincerely,
Kittredge PTO
